Reupholstery of Stanley Cundle Sofas in Leeds

A suite from a very good quality manufacturer from Kirkstall, Leeds – Stanley Cundle.

Although the style and comfort was still liked the suite was beginning to be too low so we changed the castors to a square wooden foot to give extra height. Our customer chose a light, almost white chenille from the Tuscany range as the suite was going to be moved into a conservatory. All new foam interiors for seat and back cushions. Location Pudsey

Loose Cover Suite Restyled

The image below shows the basis of the loose cover suite which originally was a scatter back cushion style suite with all fibre filled cushions. The customers wanted to restyle the suite as the size and shape was perfect for their lounge.

Loose Cover Restyle

We changed the suite to fixed upholstery and shaped to fit, tailored back cushions. The fibre was replaced for foam as they wanted more support from the suite.

They chose duck egg from the Camden range of fabrics.

A deep button Queen Anne Armchair and storage stool was upholstered in Portobello Cord Blue to give a contrast to the rest of the suite.

Reclining Chair

This favourite chair had worn on the arms but the owner would not part with it. While on holiday in Australia we picked it up and reupholstered it in time for his return as a surprise Christmas present. The fabric from The Coalport range was chosen to compliment the rest of the suite. Location Burley in Wharfedale.

Parker Knoll Recliner

The fabric had worn away at the base of the chair and arms, the usual areas to go first. The fabric was chosen to compliment the rest of the suite and a close match was found in the Coalport range. Location Crossgates.

Balloon Back Chairs

An eBay purchase which needed new seat reupholstery. A fabric from The Conway range was chosen to complement the style of the chair. The frames were in a reasonable condition so a light clean and wax was all that was needed.

3 Chairs and a Stool

Our customer based in Skipton had inherited 3 lovely old chairs and footstool and wanted to keep the pieces in their modern home. They ordered samples from the website and chose 3 co-ordinating patterns from the Eleganza range and 1 from the Faremont range.

The hammock style chair above and below had a pullman style seat unit which was suspended on a metal frame and then attached to the wooden frame. The wooden frame was stripped and repolished to its original finish. The modern Eleganza Floral pattern in Blue and Chocolate creates a wonderful dramatic look.

The footstool was repolished and upholstered in the Candy Stripe from the Eleganza range and will sit well with all the chairs.

Below – Before stripping began.

This art deco style chair has a very unusal back rest, again a wonderful piece.

The fabric chosen was from the Faremont range and was in keeping with the original fabric as seen below. The frame was stripped and repolished.

This Parker Knoll chair needed some restyling as its original covers had seen many home repairs. The cushion should extend up above the back rail and is then fixed in position at the rear.

The interiors had collapsed in both the seat and back and these were replaced. The chair was, stripped, repolished and reupholstered in the Broad stripe from the Eleganza range.

A wonderful collection of chairs, all brought together by the customers choice of fabrics. Location Skipton.
