Cintique chairs are always worth reupholstering. People who have them always find them comfortable and they feel soft yet supportive. The polished frame is always well made and stands the test of time. This frame was showing its age, exaggerated by the sun, and the customer opted to have both fully stripped and repolished.
Picture showing original covers which were looking tired and worn.
The customer chose a boucle chenille to complement other furnishings and the wood. We replaced the seat and back foam as this was perishing with age.

Chair back home in its sunny position with customers own scatter cushion which we were matching the fabric to as this matched the curtains.
A couple who recently moved into the area called for advice about whether it was worth reupholstering their two Cintique arm chairs. We called in to assess the furniture and it was a resounding yes. The covers were tired but that was all. We also spoke about recovering the sofa which they opted to do in the end. Below shows the sofa with its loose covers off and the first pieces of fabric cut to size for the frame work.

A classic Cintique suite which we reupholstered in the Camden range -ripple design. We restyled the cushions to make them reversible on the seat by moving the flap detail to the middle rather then the bottom edge. This will enable the customer to turn them and get more wear out of the interiors and fabric over the coming years.
We are often called on to reupholster Cintique Suites as the classic styles and good quality frames mean they are always worth reupholstering. This family in Horsforth were no different. They chose a new fabric from the Coalport range, a diamond pattern dralon. New seat cushion interiors were required as these had worn out and a small repair to one of the seat springs.
