Dining tables often need repolishing from general wear and tear or if something has left a heat mark. Heat marks look like a white bloom on the surface. This is where the heat has caused a reaction with the lacquer causing it to turn white. We strip this back to the wood to remove the bloom and then repolish back to the original finish. Surface scratches and most knocks can be sanded out to achieve a smooth surface again.
Six Oak dining chairs needed new seat covers as the old faux leather had peeled. We stripped and recovered in a similar colour to make them like new.
This great collection of old chairs from various times and construction techniques were beautifully restored. Some needed some frame work repairs and others just polishing. The fabric on the two small arm chairs was a striped damask with the velvet pipe that was used on the other chairs, two very different fabrics but they worked well on all the chairs. The table was stripped and polished back to how our customer remembers it as a child.

Dining chairs get lots of use, especially if you have a family where spills are inevitable. We have lots of vinyls which can wipe clean or soft fabrics, many of which can be cleaned in situ with household cleaners You can see the original vinyl had peeled but the chairs themselves were perfect and were part of a larger set of dining furniture. The customer wanted to keep the same colour so we found the closest match of brown vinyl to recover the chairs

A previous customer called us in to freshen up the bleached covers on his Conservatory Cane Dining Chairs. We also made new covers for his 2 seater cane sofa to match and replaced the seat interior with new foam. The UV light had bleached the old covers so we advised on a light fabric to reduce the obviousness of it happening again. He was concerned about cleaning as dining chairs do get splashed but this fabric, Savona Velvet, is excellent for cleaning. Look at other examples of Conservatory Reupholstery here.
